Trademark SBR

S.B.R. started in 1922 as the first manufacturer in Belgium with the serial production of radio sets. On January 1, 1924, at the initiative of S.B.R., Radio-Belgique was the first Belgian broadcaster to start broadcasting radio. The first pilot broadcast was on November 23, 1923, and lasted 15 minutes.

The company grew rapidly, in the mid-1930s already 500 radios a day were made. During this period S.B.R. a purely Belgian company and independent of foreign interests.
